Christina, plays Joan Holloway, a character who loves to show off her curves in the office and specifically her waist. “I’ve learned from the show that it’s good to show off my waist,” Christina tells InStyle Magazine.

Hendricks continued to say that it’s … ” a nice very quality I have. I’m drawn to items of clothing what a nice waistline but if something doesn’t have one then I’ll then tailor it so it does.”

We support her in her style, as she truly is an original! And looks amazing, regardless of what she wears.

Christina Hendricks may have been named the Best Looking Woman in the nation earlier this year by Esquire Magazine, but the fashion industry by in large – including names such as Armani, Versace, Vera Wang & Chanel – simply hasn’t loaned Christina a single dress since the star has been on the scene and attended numerous award ceremonies. This is likely due to Christina’s curvy and voluptuous figure.

The “Mad Men” star recently commented to the Daily Mail publication that “‘People have been saying some nice, wonderful things about me… yet not one single designer in town will loan me a dress.” The fact of the matter is that fashion designers tend to only lend out a size 0, 1, or 2.

The lavender dress she wore to the Emmys this past week was designed by Zac Posen. She also wore a black gown designed by Posen to the Creative Emmys. Although her dress size (largely due to Christina’s cup size) was a reported 14, she still looks amazing and has a one of a kind figure and is sexy as ever. At this point the fashionistas such as Donatella, and other designers should get real and realize that not every size in Hollywood (let alone the world) are a size 0, 1 or 2 for that matter! And being sexy is not relegated to those sizes either.

And recently a yearbook photo surfaced from a student literary magazine at Fairfax High School in Virginia, which Christina attended in the 90s which shows her as a very pretty thespian (and dare we say geeky?).  Here’s a copy of the photo (Christina is circled):

As previously posted, Hendricks was recently named as a role model to young women for her healthy figure by Britain’s equalities minister.

The clips also feature none other then “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks. In the first released series of spots, the  plot centers around Fallon, as Draper, who loses his cool when “Joan” informs him of several different he’s hosting the Emmys this year.

The commercials were pulled after rival networks of AMC, the home of “Mad Men,” supposedly began complaining of favoritism. Their gripe, which does seem to have validity, is that the award show’s voting process is still underway and hasn’t finished, and they argue that the campaign is simply a free promotion for “Mad Men”, which happens to be up for 17 Emmy Awards. NBC hasn’t commented after various news outlets reached out.

One of Featherstone’s goals is to force the labeling of airbrushed images and photographs. In a recent interview she said, “the dreadful pressure that young people, girls and women come under to conform to completely unachievable body stereotypes.”  And thus, she wants all airbrushed photographs to be labeled as such.

As reported recently Featherstone commented that, “… she’s absolutely fabulous,” regarding Hendricks. “All women have felt that pressure of having to conform to an unrealistic stereotype,

which plagues them their whole life. It is not just the immediate harm; it is something that lasts a lifetime. Young girls are under intense pressure the whole time,” continued Featherstone as quoted in the Guardian.

The positive press is a great momentum builder as Season 4 of Mad Men aired last night, as the country is reminded of how smoking cigarettes incessantly and having a cocktail during a late night at work was the norm.

You don’t know this, but when we come back from a date, we feel awkward about that transition from our cute outfit into sexy lingerie. We don’t know how to do this gracefully. It’s embarrassing. We have to find a way to slip into another room, put on the outfit as if it all happened very easily, and then come out and it’s: Look at me! Look at the sexy thing I’ve done! For you, it’s the blink of an eye. It’s all very embarrassing. Just so you know.

Panties is a wonderful word. When did you stop saying “panties”? It’s sexy. It’s girlie. It’s naughty. Say it more.

About ogling: The men who look, they really look. It doesn’t insult us. It doesn’t faze us, really. It’s just — well, it’s a little infantile. Which is ironic, isn’t it? The men who constantly stare at our breasts are never the men we’re attracted to.

There are better words than beautiful. Radiant, for instance. It’s an underused word. It’s a very special word. “You are radiant.” Also, enchanting, smoldering, intoxicating, charming, fetching.

Marriage changes very little. The only things that will get a married man laid that won’t get a single man laid are adultery and whores. Intelligence and humor (and your smell) are what get you laid. That’s what got you laid when you were single. That’s what gets you laid when you’re married. Everything still works in marriage: especially intelligence and humor. Because the sexiest thing is to know you.

The 34-year-old Mad Men actress, aka Joan Holloway, reportedly won the mag’s best-looking woman contest. She won 30 percent of the best-looking vote, followed by Victoria’s Secret angel Adriana Lima (17%) and and Megan Fox (14%).

The production of the fourth season of Mad Men already kicked off. Jon Hamm and Anna Camp have already been spotted on set.

In an interview with the UK edition of Marie Claire, Hendricks, 34, who plays curvy Joan Holloway in the hit US drama, admitted that one of her biggest disappointments was missing out on a role in one of Allen’s flicks.

She said: ‘It’s always been a dream of mine to work with Woody Allen. I had an audition last year, but didn’t get the role, and it kind of hurt my heart.”

She added: ‘He [Allen] said I was too sweet. I guess if you’re not going to get something, that’s a good reason, right?’

Casting for Mad Men’s upcoming fourth season has begun and, according to sources, boss Matthew Weiner is adding three new potentially recurring characters. The rookie trio includes…

… a handsome and creative male; a voluptuous, curvy, and cute brunette who is friendly but professional; and an affable guy who is a bit lacking in personality.

Production on the season premiere — tentatively titled “Public Relations” — is scheduled to get underway on April 12.

Rachel Bilson and Mad Men babe Christina Hendricks celebrate the new Ann Taylor Fall 2010 collection at NYC’s Ace Hotel on Thursday night (March 25).

Christina, 34, wore a classic Ann Taylor LBD and was accompanied by her husband, actor Geoffrey Arend.

Rachel, 28, wore a fun Ann Taylor sweater and jewelry (she wore a belt as a necklace!). She finished off her look with Top Shop shorts and Christian Louboutin pumps.
